The team is committed to delivering excellent customer service throughout the visitor journey – from initial enquiries to assisting visitors during their stay and encouraging them to return to discover even more of the quality attractions and experiences available.
The team works closely with tourism, leisure and hospitality businesses to help promote and develop their products and services as well as training and supporting dedicated groups of volunteers including Thanet’s Visitor Ambassadors and volunteers at Broadstairs Information Kiosk and Ramsgate Customs House.
Their commitment to customer service and finding innovative ways of working has been recognised with the service being awarded a Gold award for Visitor Information Provider of the Year in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
As well as the centre at Droit House, the service also operates various outreach services including Tourist Information Point boards, Key Information Points, attending events and training opportunities. Find out more details on our out and about services

Social Media is a fantastic way in which the visitor services team can engage with visitors and acts as another platform to promote what’s going on. It’s a great way to direct traffic to the Visit Thanet website and provides an additional way of answering visitor’s queries.
