We love to see new businesses set up and thrive in the area, and we love to see established ones flourish and grow. This supports the visitor economy and diversifies the offering for both visitors and local people.
We work closely with other council departments responsible for all services that can affect the visitor experience, including coastal development, events, parking, communications, the Thanet Coast Project and the Port of Ramsgate.
Advice is helpful at any stage of a businesses’ lifestyle, and we’re here to help you connect with the right support.

Association of Leading Visitor Attractions (ALVA)
ALVA offers training, ways to measure success, and guidance to help their members keep making the visitor experiences better and better. They also speak up for their members to the Government, the media and other businesses, making sure the sector gets the support it needs.
