Regeneration and development

Visitors play a huge part in what makes Thanet thrive! Every visitor helps our local community grow and develop. Thanet District Council is using government funding to support regeneration projects in Margate, Ramsgate and across Thanet. These projects will benefit the local community and encourage visitors to come back again and again.

There are a wide range of projects being delivered, including the refurbishment of historic gems such as Ramsgate’s Clockhouse, and Margate’s Theatre Royal and Winter Gardens, proposals for new beach facilities and a new regionally significant public skatepark facility.
