Thanet District Council has developed a Net Zero Strategy to help it to achieve a reduction in the council’s core carbon footprint to Net Zero by 2030. The strategy focuses on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

  • LoCASE (Low Carbon Across the South and East) : provides grants of up to £10,000 as well as training workshops
  • Clean Growth Financing Initiatives with Lloyds Bank
  • Workspace Charging Scheme: voucher-based scheme that provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charging points
  • Green Recovery Vouchers: scheme to help small companies take advantage of environmental advice and services.Businesses in Kent can apply for a voucher of up to £1,500 to implement an environmental project to help improve business sustainability, resilience and support economic recovery
  • South East New Energy targets high energy-users in highlighting and supporting SMEs with additional EU grant funding as well as community energy and decarbonisation research
